SEDAR 56 South Atlantic Black Sea Bass

Project Description

The SEDAR 56 assessment was conducted following a Standard approach and addressed the stock of South Atlantic Black Sea Bass. The assessment was originally scheduled to take place over a series of webinars from February to August 2017.  At its May 2017 meeting, the SEDAR Steering Committee supported the SEFSC request to delay completion of the SEDAR 56 assessment and directed SEFSC to report on the feasibility of advancing the terminal year of the assessment. At the June 2017 SAFMC meeting, the Council approved advancing the terminal year of the assessment to 2016. The SEDAR 56 schedule was revised to accommodate the change in terminal year with webinars running through February 2018.
